      Pros

      ?....a steady paycheck? It seems as if employees like to work for Humana, because they stay there for a long time. However I think those are the employees that are just there to collect a paycheck.

      Cons

      Management doesn't allow for growth. I think it may be in part because of job insecurity. In addition employees beneath the management level are not given bonuses based on performance and cost savings. Only management reeps the benefits of bonuses. I think that sends a message to employees that their efforts are not as valued as management.

      Pros

      Humana is a big company with lots of room for growth. The company makes a serious effort to be innovative, and we've been in the forefront of the industry for at least the past 7 years.

      Cons

      You'll have to seek out growth opportunities on your own, and you may not get the support you should from your management. Once inside the company, it's very hard to get fair annual salary increases or even fair increases when moving from one position to the next. Our HR department is great at employee benefits, but seriously lacking in people management ability.
