HBAN Culture is Dead

Pros

Compensation is great and PTO is solid, if you want to put up with the internal BS which is continuing to get worse and worse.

Cons

CRB leadership has moved the culture from being "one for all all for one" to a "me and only me" culture rooted in fear-based motivators. Brant has brought in his Truist buddies to help root out all the values of the company.

Pros

Huntington prides themselves on being people-first, and this does come across in a lot of things they do: community outreach, business resource groups for employees, great branding, not only preaching but also practicing inclusivity and diversity. Last but definitely not least, my immediate team members are awesome, including the middle management we report to.

Cons

Strong talent isn't always appreciated, especially for folks in roles beneath executive leadership. Timing has to align in order to receive a decent salary bump with promotions (i.e., not only does the bank have to be performing well in that particular year, but also executives have to choose to translate that revenue into raises and bonuses). Otherwise, you'll be extremely limited in salary growth. Sometimes this means that folks with decent tenure (5, 10, 15+ years) are not paid even market average for their roles.

Pros

My business unit was fabulous until 2 years ago. Great co-workers Predictable pay and benefits DEI is done very well and valued here

Cons

Culture is now horrible at both enterprise and business unit level. It was not until recently. Pay is terrible. Do not expect increases after being hired. Leadership says one thing but then their actions are contradictory. New management does not abide by promises made by former management. Most of the great leaders retired with the buy out - or were forced to retire, Acknowledgement and appreciation in only in words - no actions or money or even performance reviewing scores aligns.
