Revenue is company's primary concern
Pros
The fundamentals of the programs are sound and effective. In my four years there, I saw the programs benefit a multitude of kids. With effective teachers and proper training, students of all ages can benefit. For teachers, the part time job is an excellent addition to any full time position elsewhere. There is very little outside work and the work is rewarding in many ways.
Cons
From my experience on the management side of the center, the focus tends to be much more on revenue than on the success of individual students. If a center puts the company's mission first (to provide the best education possible), then success can be achieved. Unfortunately, the focus rarely is on the mission. Instead it is on hard-line recruiting, often to the detriment of current students. The pay is poor, especially so in the center I was in. Management positions require employees to perform myriad responsibilities with little compensation and little thanks. I believe in the mission of the business, but have rarely seen it in action.
