Pros

Some of the kids are great! It looks great on a resume due to the fancy titles they give their full time staff. Easy to get a job here if you have a 4 year degree.

Cons

Everything about working for this company is bad! First of all, the interview process is a sham. They down play a lot of what is expected and don't mention all the little important details in the interviews. The pay is very low for the amount of hours you are expected to work and they expect you to work overtime when necessary for no extra pay. They will make you come in on your days off. They operate under the disguise that they care about children but this company only cares about fattening their wallet. At the end of the day all the managers/corporate care about is revenue and how much money we squeeze out of parents. This job offers no healthy work-life balance. Probably one of the worst places I have ever worked!

Pros

Helping students who are struggling in school. Helping high school students do well on the SAT and ACT tests.

Cons

Insultingly low pay, inconsistent hours, last-minute cancellations where I was told to go home (and not get paid). Materials are ancient, books and binders are falling apart with age. New short-term exam prep programs are too short to make a difference in the students' scores, they're just designed to make a quick buck.
