Cons
Well, let's face it: teachers just don't earn big bucks. I think the hourly pay for tutors here is fine, given that reality. There were times, particularly as a new tutor, when I felt a bit like I'd been thrown in the deep end. Sometimes, students had some unexpected problems or presented some special challenges, and I would worry that I wasn't giving them the kind of help they needed. I had to figure a lot of things out on my own. But I think that fits with the philosophy here - although you need to stick with certain basics about their program, you are also regarded as a skilled professional who can take the basics and run with them.
