good scheduling and hours get time off that you ask for friendly Assistant Managers and supervisors good coworkers fun job

Cons

higher level management does not recognize good work all Checkers paid the same, regardless of attitude, experience, reliability Pay starts at $7.75 and increases by 10 cents after one year

Pros

Great first job, great pay raises, and great promotions. If you are a good, happy, helpful employee they will notice and praise you for it

Cons

Customers yell at employees, but you are going to get that any place you work. Sometimes management has to cut hours and they will most likely cut hours on people like cashiers and courtesy clerks (people who bag and get carts)

Pros

Like any large employer it's a great place to meet people. Most of the employees are great folks to work with. It has a disproportionately low number of jerks! Raises are good for most employees and they bend over backwards to work with your schedule!

Cons

Training is spotty, and starting wages are weak. Frequently there is a larger volume of work than can be comfortably handled by the amount of workers available.
