Once was great, but teetering on the brink...

Pros

Easy to come to work every day. Fantastic work / life balance options. Everyone is passionate at what they do.

Cons

Policies aren't enforced across the board. You can tell who management's favorites are. They have a problem not advancing women in technical roles. You have to act like a man in order to get ahead in technical roles. they are becoming more corporate and drifting very far away from their values. IT Policies are archaic by today's standards.

Pros

The organization is genuinely interested in the well being of its people. There exists many opportunities to learn and grow. You can take initiative and demonstrate your skills and abilities. The organization looks for employees who do the right thing, and weekly recognizes those employees. There are diverse benefits including: onsite daycare, gym, hair stylist, massages, dry clean pickup, non-work related seminars on diverse topics, fun events, wellness initiatives….

Cons

In most cases you need to be an individual who is willing to invest time to continually learn and grow. The product and technology is constantly changing. The fast growth requires that you learn new improved processes.

It was very frustrating.

Pros

Generally, working conditions are good. Amenities within the facilities are very good and the company is flexible with working hours. Management is open with communications regarding the financial performance of the company.

Cons

It is an organization that can best be described as a culture of double standards. Many departments promote based on friendships and personal relationships rather then abilities and experience. Opinions that differ from that of management or those who simply question issues are viewed as discontent and individuals who voice such opinions are almost immediately labled as malcontents. Their opportunities for advancement end almost immediately.
