Pros

On some projects you can get a lot of experience in construction and exposure to the larger external team. Projects move quickly so you get to see things happen on a short timeline.

Cons

For architects IA is largely a place to do the bidding of interior designers who largely run the show at the PM and management level. There is little support for licensure or technical development. The designers set the design intention and architects are largely there to execute.
