Pros

Got 3% raises and bonuses up to $200

Cons

Management and above are clueless on what their employees do for the business and think they know best when they layoff critical personnel. They should really listen to the people doing the work, it would benefit all parties involved. They should rethink the 12 hour work day and go back to 8 work days, to support personnel redundancy when vacations or time off is used. wages should be better. Most people live paycheck to paycheck. They need to pay people a fair wage to keep up with the changing economy, not pay them just enough to cover basic living.

Pros

It's a paycheck. Nice to have the name on your resume. It explains you need to find a new place to work.

Cons

Not allowed to vary from the tasks for your job or risk breaking rules of lean management. No meaningful career advancement options without working day shift and replacing your next immediate superior when and if they leave. No realistic career track or mentoring available. Productivity improvements are gained by heaping more and more work on fewer and fewer full time equivalent employees regardless of what the service level contracts promise customers. Management meets its performance review targets by double booking man hours on multiple contracts resulting in inadequate staffing levels. Rank order employees in performance reviews punish mistakes and job requirements leave no room for exceptional performance. If you stick with this company and you’ll destroy your long term career path options. Then you'll get an offer to retire early so they can hire a college grad for less than half of you salary.
