Good benefits and pay, interesting work.

Cons

This is a government contractor that wants to be a consulting firm. The organization is confused about what it wants to be - commercial vs government. Brand image is completely unrecognizable. No one knows what ICF stands for or what they do - nothing interesting about brand. Difficult to attract technical resources for commercial work. Lots of acquisitions.

Really, I am at a loss.

Cons

Are there any minorities in senior management here (S.V.P, or above)? Other than the CEO. Speaks to NON-INCLUSIVE culture here. It's embarrassing. I'm African-American, and don't get addressed as my given name by employees where I'm located because I guess all minorities look alike???

Pros

ICF international has plenty of talented and passionate individuals working on "greater good" type problems for companies, non-profits and governments. The work is fairly interesting, the work-life balance is solid and I find that I'm allowed to manage my day as I like with very little structure.

Cons

Cheap company! Cost of living adjustments are called merit increases, meaning good performance for the year will net you a 2.5% raise. On top of that, performance reviews and promotions are not very clear.
