      Pros

      Smart coworkers, interesting work, innovative culture, good work-life balance. I like that it's a private company that covers a lot of "non-profit" issues. Generally really like the people I work with and the middle management treats people as peers and are very approachable. Generally I think management cares about career growth and professional development opportunities, though it could be better. The benefits are pretty good as well.

      Low salary, culture could be a little more interactive, especially between different teams.

      decent work environment with open door policy with most managers; good opportunities to work on key policy and current issues; opportunity to grow quickly at junior levels; well known for expertise in environmental issues; decent level of independence for senior managers

      Cons

      no structure for growth beyond manager position; constant pressure to keep yourself billable with client work; very little opportunity to switch domains or verticals; no support on career growth beyond manager level - you are on your own to get projects.
