Pros
-People are friendly and helpful -Public health sector projects are interesting, and most clients in my line of business have a meaningful mission -This probably varies based on team, but managers I’ve interacted with trust you to do the work and do not micromanage -Mostly flexible hours as long as you finish your work, and no expectation to work more than 40 hours (most of the time) -Decent PTO and other benefits -Transparent(ish) pay structure— people are paid on a scale based on years of experience, so I think pay equity should be pretty good
Cons
Few cons but they’re big ones: - The pay is abysmal for consulting. Lower than most of their competitors, and no bonus or unique perks - Need to invest more in team building activities, especially now that work is hybrid/virtual -High utilization rate and system for tracking billable hours is annoying
