Encouraging environment focused on staff, even through rapid growth
Pros
When you have a company which is continually growing, it can be easy to feel simply a 'cog in a wheel' and underappreciated. This is not the case with IDBS - everyone is friendly and approachable and will go out of their way to help you, even at the leadership level. There's a great focus on development within IDBS - both professional and personal, and achievements are shared and celebrated across the business. With the pandemic, the company has adapted to remote working extremely well, whilst also staying conscious of the impact this may have on their associates - offering regular wellbeing sessions and resources, flexibility in working hours, flexibility with family commitments/home schooling, thoughtful 'thank you' gifts to recognise everyone's hard work during a difficult time.
Cons
Not an issue currently, but when in the Guildford office there can be occasional bad traffic around the Surrey Research Park/by Royal Surrey County Hospital.
