Pros
Working at IDEX you are more than an individual or number in a company, instead you are a part of something Truly Special. To start IDEX exceeds on all fronts when it comes to the standard checklist of employee needs (compensation, benefits, culture, values, leadership, vision, career growth, community engagement, etc.) What is harder to capture is what separates IDEX from other employers through the intangibles - which I'll do my best to explain.
Working at IDEX is more than just a job or being just an employee. You feel part of something much, much, bigger than you might imagine. I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work at multiple locations all of which shared these phenomenal experiences and would not have changed a thing. You leave your house with a smile knowing not only are you going to be at your best, but the employees (or 2nd family) at your location will be as well. You will feel welcomed and invited as you walk in the door when one of team will genuinely & authentically greet you as a value-added teammate. Whatever location you're at, there is a product that is used in daily lives you can & will get emotionally attached as you understand the importance and value it has to our society and the solution is solves.
You'll work in a collaborative team environment where you will be heard and come into contact with amazing leaders (both at your location and at corporate) who want to know and care more about you as an individual and part of a team, rather than an employee or number. To give an example, a very high-level executive I met one time for <15 minutes at my location recognized me 2 years later during vacation with my wife in Chicago during a public venue, whom sought me out to say hello before the event started. You'll end the day knowing your contributions mattered and will get the appreciation and sincere Thank You from your colleagues.
You will be valued, and the leadership is committed to your career development - while it may not come in the traditional ladder approach, the breadth and depth of your development transcends the traditional career development model & traditional paths. You will be energized to re-live this experience day after day, or, know you can celebrate your efforts with your family & friends over the weekend. While others will vent about their jobs, you are able to share the multiple positive experiences you will be presented with at IDEX and be considered fortunate and perhaps one of the lucky ones.
Cons
Honestly it is hard to come up with any Cons IDEX has that are not inherent with any organization. Long as you are committed to being your best every day there are no cons working with IDEX. Even better if you have an off day, your day will be turned around through the support, encouragement, and positive team environment at IDEX making you look forward to the next.
