Pros

Lots of hard-working, smart, passionate people. Very casual workplace. Interesting industry.

Cons

No attempt at work/life balance. Management frequently shirked decisions and direction back to employees with "What do you think?"

Pros

Coworker culture can't be beat. This is THE place to work in your early 20's if you love video games and don't care what you're paid. Also THE place to work if you end up promoted into a senior role and don't mind "checking out" while collecting a paycheck and relying on those 20-something's to work non-stop to make up the difference.

Cons

Standard SF "tech job" issues - must accept poor work/life balance if you want to stand out as a potential future leader, nothing out of the ordinary. But the -1 star is for editorial senior mgmt. They're simply not in tune with media/content landscape past what feels like 2008. Mid/lower level employees still manage to produce great stuff, but inspiration comes from below, never from above.
