Lots of ups and downs, but felt like family.

Pros

People really care about each other. They encourage innovation and out of the box thinking. Cool industry. Fun place to work. I learned and grew a lot in my time there and made a lot of friends.

Cons

Lots of turnover. Burnout is a problem. Not enough focus from leadership, too many initiatives. There tended to be boom and bust cycles with hiring and layoffs, which impacts morale.

Pros

I made many great friends while working here. The culture is great. The new location is way better than the old one. There are many people who care about the company still there. Way too many have left either voluntarily or not.

Cons

Biggest challenge is the game industry itself. It's changing so fast and IGN has been slow to adapt and find where the new growth is. Editorial is still inconsistent. Some content is great while others are sub par. Quality over quantity would be best, but it's hard to argue more articles get more clicks.
