Pros

The company has great access at media events

Cons

They get traffic from having exclusive access, not from talent, creativity or innovation. The leadership is unprofessional, often bitter or toxic, and willfully stuck in the past.

Pros

Wear whatever you want to work. You get to work in the gaming industry.

Cons

Inferior products compared to market trends. Every support team is held together with spit & glue, significantly understaffed. No one is held accountable for any mistakes made and the company morale is depressingly awful across the board. No matter what your career goals are, there are so many better places to work. IGN is the kind of place where they stack 3 full-time jobs on your plate and still ask you to do more.

Pros

- Fun, video-game themed workplace. Conference rooms are well themed and decorated, giant statues of characters adorn the walls and there is even a game room (though no one ever plays there).

Cons

- No communication, universally throughout the company - They treat their employees like crap. Regularly string them along promising a permanent position for a year+, random-seeming firings, in hiring negotiations make low-ball offers and in general show a shocking lack of respect. - Managers do not know their employees - neither level of experience nor capabilities, and set them up to fail with mismatched assignments. - Long hours, no support
