      Pros

      Great engineers to work with. Dirt cheap house at Reno

      Cons

      Incompetent managers ruined everything. If you see something is wrong and make sure not be vocal about it, unless you want to be the next one to go. One of the top performers was forced out by doing exactly this in our group. Plus more and more projects go to Beijing.

      Pros

      for the most part if you can get in to upper management you're pay is great and least likely to get laid off

      Cons

      poor promotional practices. They will hire from the outside and give higher pay than promote from within and give the same pay rate as someone from the outside.

      Pros

      IGT Vegas is a nice campus. I had good, current equipment upon which to do my work. Management was receptive to my equipment requests. Some co-workers and managers were excellent. Decent benefits. Decent pay.

      Cons

      Ever-present threat of layoffs. Inconsistent amount of work to do... Either tons of work to do immediately, or long spans of no real work to do. This made it difficult to get into a good work rhythm. Cutting of jobs and benefits was not good.
