      Pros

      Wide range of projects and available training to grow experience. Opportunity to work with some really good people on interesting projects. Supportive and professionally growth oriented for young engineers.

      Cons

      Office environment varies widely from corporate to other offices, occasional lack of communication from management down. Doesn't always feel like your team is a team.

      Fast Paced Work Environment

      Pros

      I worked at Desai Nasr Consulting Engineers in their West Bloomfield office. They are now part of IMEG. They have lots of structural software however there is no formal training on it. You will learn it while you are trying to get a project out the door. Lunch and learn seminars. Knowledgeable people.

      Cons

      Very fast paced work environment. Working on five to six projects at one time. Working with outside architectural firms so all coordination is by emailing or downloading drawings back and forth.
