      Cumbersome, inefficient, bureaucratic dinosaur.

      Pros

      The severance package is nice - wish I'd get one. I really can't think of much that's positive about this company right now.

      Cons

      No one is empowered so nothing different is ever done. The company has enough money they can get away with being inefficient and introducing so many processes that nothing happens. Or, ever implementation costs a fortune. Total focus on top line revenue - no one even knows what anything actually costs. to produce. Wasteful of resources and money. Filled with people who've worked there 10 - 20 - 30 years and can't imagine doing anything differently than they always have.

      Good start to career - plenty of client exposure

      Pros

      Plenty of client exposure Opportunity to present to client with 6 months of employment - clients are global brand directors and senior managers in top pharma companies Good middle managers. Lower ranks full of oxbridge / Ivy league types who are all sound people.

      Cons

      Worst salary in management consulting industry (in the world). No one knows where what IMS does outside of Pharma / health care. Difficult to be proud of where you work when no one knows what you do.

      Pros

      There is a great team atmosphere and people are always willing to help and answer questions Exposure to practically every pharmaceutical company in the UK Huge amounts of data available

      Cons

      Too much of a focus on quarterly revenue targets that are often unrealistic Although there is a lot of talk around client service this is not reflected in the actions of the company or senior management
