Pros

Some good people as most organisations, most of those being the new cohort of product minded people they hired 2019-2022 Decent health and insurance packages-thats it

Cons

Pretty awful experience from top to bottom Elements leadership pretty clueless; no real product leadership or vision. Very heavy handed waterfall top down approach. Never empowered any product managers/owners but then bemused by lack of direction. It's not really the place for forward thinking, agile and modern product-thinkers. If you want to progress in product I'd advise against working at IRIS This is all on top of the horrible and inhumane HR and line manager policies and behaviours. Really disappointing to not be paid when contracting covid and even more upsetting when HR didn't seem to want to know about these bad practices. A fair few egotistical managers there in product dept. aswell - this didn't help individuals feel motivated, supported and empowered - culture is more about the big managers at the top 'playing at building products when they haven't shipped a product between them! Final nail in the coffin is the exit process - they will 'interview' you for your valuable feedback via a form in their HR system Not even competitive pay compared to other tech jobs. Infact v poor given the massive Iris revenues and private equity backing!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, although we were surprised and disappointed by your comments. We want our employees to feel empowered and we work hard to make sure that employees across the product team can share their fantastic ideas and suggestions. For example, through Peakon, our monthly survey tool, employees at IRIS are able to share their ideas with managers and senior leaders in real time. Managers and leaders can instantly see this feedback, allowing them to act on ideas quickly and respond to comments, so that employees are enabled to immediately make an #IMPACT. We’re sorry to hear that this wasn’t your experience and would encourage you to reach out to Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer so that she can discuss your concerns and help put things right. Paying our employees fairly and competitively for their hard work is of the upmost importance to us, and we're delighted to be officially recognised as a Real Living Wage employer. On top of this, we run an annual salary review process, offer pay scales in select departments to automatically reward employees when they hit career milestones, provide bonus and commission schemes where eligible, and provide a generous benefits, holiday and charitable volunteering package to all UK employees. We also operate a generous enhanced sick pay policy, plus additional provisions with those who are absent due to Covid-19. We ask that people complete an exit interview through our HR system, in case there is anything they would like to raise but don’t feel comfortable sharing in person and also aim to arrange face-to-face (or virtual) exit interviews with the relevant HR representative so people can share feedback and make suggestions. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further recommendations. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear that you were impacted by the recent restructure across our Sales team. Due to the impact of Covid-19 and associated operational changes we underwent a limited redundancy process within the Sales function. This included a lengthy consultation process, with all affected staff given the opportunity to discuss ways to avoid the redundancy and encouraged to apply for other roles within the organisation, as well as receiving fully paid time off for training or other interviews should they wish and extensive mental health support and guidance throughout. None of this was entered into lightly, and where redundancy was unavoidable, the company funded outplacement support and an ex-gratia payment to help them into their next chapter. It is our upmost commitment to treat affected employees with the dignity and respect they rightly deserve. There have been many changes within Sales to give everyone the best opportunities for success and we have done our upmost to share the benefits and been transparent about the impact of the changes on a regular basis. The wider transformation is exciting as it enables us to share expertise and provide greater opportunities for employees across the IRIS family, it increases the potential for cross selling to support our growth, and it helps us provide the best possible service to our customers. We have also increased the training and development resources on offer for all our salespeople to support them in meeting targets. Sales enablement training sessions are now also available in a variety formats, focusing on our products and solutions with the addition of a dedicated platform for sharing content, guides and demos. It is important that we empower our salespeople so we've also created a specialised team of product and presales experts to support them. Unquestionably, we must have the right tools to recognise those who deliver high and exceptional performance, and we have launched a new Sales club (Elite Club) which offers an end of year trip for our highest performing salespeople and a number of encouraging awards along the way. If you have any further feedback, please don't hesitate to contact Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer, in complete confidence. We wish you all the very best in your new role. Kind regards, the HR team
