Pros

The products. IRIS has a fantastic product range with industry leading software. Culture for employees is great, you instantly make friends and the social side is perfect for graduates. Get to leave at 5pm every day which you can't argue with!

Cons

Senior management. This is the biggest shame as the pros above are so genuine. The term 'paper over the cracks' could not be more apparent than in the Faulkner House office. People are criticized for not selling the way the director wants to. Talk time is more important than a good service. Employees are pushed to write good reviews! Incentives mask how people are treated . No business processes in place, unprofessional is an understatement . All of this comes from the culture at the top. Only way to get promoted is by being favoured or length of service.

Pros

You get a phone and a pc during work hours

Cons

Where do I start?! - Ridicoulous levels of micromanagement - Egos the size of the Earth - Director sat in their office everyday doing absolutely nothing - Total disregard for employee wellbeing - Actively being encouraged to lie to customers to buy - Managers turning a blind eye to illicit practices (sometimes even encouraging it) - A sieve would probably have a higher staff retention - Did I already mention micromanagement? - Hypocrisy is rife. There seems to be no standardisation for procedures - There is a manager that walks around yelling profanities at anybody and everyone. Probably didn't get enough attention as a child. - Micromanagement - Go with Sage If that doesn't ward you off, nothing will

Pros

IRIS has great people working for the organisation. They are also rapidly expanding and are going places commercially speaking. My line manager was excellent.

Cons

HR and training is poor. There simply isn't enough career progression unless you are an elitist clique. There is an offer of performance based bonus where the appraisal doesn't actually happen and if you're lucky, you might gain the bonus in July (when appraisals happen in May). When resigning, HR are unfair and impersonal, even if you were hard working and good at what you did. What was very disappointing is directors don't offer training opportunities easily, and once you have resigned and working notice - you're dead to them.
