IRS reviews

Even though government employees are not supposed to discuss politics, I had several very liberal managers who were always bashing Republicans. Additionally, I felt like I had to be in the union to protect myself from incompetent managers. The managers made it into management because early on when they should have been fired, the union helped them. They learned how to use the system and IRS was afraid not to promote them.

Seasonal jobs are sometimes called permanent, but realize that it is not really permanent (in my opinion) if you are not getting laid off every few months and you have 40 hours a week on a consistent basis. I was a contact representative 3rd shift. I didn't mind the hours b/c it fit my lifestyle at the time, but we were constantly being brought in for lay-offs and I sat at home for 5 months without any word after only working 4 months. Not fun. Then came back and they said they were going to lay us off again.
