Cons

Seasonal position. Didn't feel like I had room to grow. Pay not good. Job was repetitive and stagnant.

Pros

Opportunities to move up, diverse workforce, great benefits, great place to work to start a second career, no age discrimination

Cons

can be hard to get the vacation dates you want, unless permanent employee may only work for 6 months a year, a lot of positions within the IRS have hourly production and quality standards which must to be met in order to get satisfactory ratings in order to get grade increases -- it can be difficult to achieve quantity over quality especially at first.
