Pros

Get your foot in the door for future positions and possible career. Above average pay to start and just goes up every time you work there. Great benefits and work environment. Work is basic paper filing and processing mail to each department.

Cons

Counting papers or processing mail all day tends to get boring at times but is sure better then breaking your back outside or dealing with rude customers for minimum wage. If you ever busted your behind you'll think its not so bad as you thought an well worth it.

Pros

You can listen to music. The work's predictable- 1040s all night, rarely any difficult surprises. Coworkers were almost all interesting, good people.

Cons

Pretty much the most boring job ever- 1040s all night, 1 after another post training. Training takes forever- only a problem since you're on abbreviated schedule. Exceeding standards is not rewarded. Once you're in, you will not be let go as a seasonal employee.

Pros

This is not a boring job. At time, there are lots of opportunities to advance your career and learn different aspects of tax administration.

Cons

The federal government does not understand that a lot of employees are leaving due to attrition and that they need to replace them. Promotions and new hires are few and far between at the current time.
