Steady job, ok advancement opportunities, above average pay for position, great co-workers and boss, good location, don't have to deal with the public (in this job), time off whenever needed, flexible work hours

Cons

if you don't work in a major office, limitied advancement opportunities, outdated software and computer systems, no disability insurance as a federal benefit

Pros

Diverse employee and management pool. Agism, whether young or old won't find here. Flexible work schedules. If work over six month tour of duty receive full health and other benefits. Easy location to get to located in renovated downtown area. Buildings of IRS complex are less than 10 years old.

Cons

Change here is inevitable. If you don't like change, don't work here. Business model is dependent upon what Congress does or doesn't do
