Work here if you love racism and terrible benefits
Pros
No micromanagement, the cleaning staff was very friendly.
Cons
Racism, sexism, horrible benefits. The most PTO sick you could ever earn is three days after working there for eight years. You had to work there for a full year before you could even receive one week of PTO. They constantly made you attend meetings or participate in their "charity" for no pay, and it was mandatory. During company meetings the slideshow was of entirely white/Caucasian employees despite the feedback from the employees of other races asking to be more inclusive. The president of the company forced you to stand during the pledge of allegiance and even yelled that it was "his room" and nobody was allowed to take a knee, even though this was never an issue in the company anyways. I heard managers and employees alike say the "N" word on a regular basis, and we were forced to tell customers that we were "at capacity" of clientele if their business address was not in a "good" spot in town, if they were Asian/Chinese food restaurant, or if they sounded "a certain way". Women are treated like second class citizens and are treated like pieces of meat and not given any opportunities to progress further in their job roles. Comments about their bodies were made on a regular basis, even to their faces. The company was not able to take any constructive criticism. In an employee feedback survey, if you did not say entirely positive things about the company and their policies, then you would be asked to resign from your position, or if the company found out that another company wanted to interview you, then they would outright fire you. They consistently used scare tactics to keep you working for them. After I put in my two-week notice, my manager didn't even bother to look at me. Most people are immediately walked out of the building if they put their notice in, even if they weren't going to a competitor. There was no management of employees. So if one employee was knowingly bullying another employee, and management found out, they would do absolutely nothing to assist the person being bullied, or tell the bully that their actions were unacceptable. Is aw this first hand happen time and time again and it became a running joke in the building that one person was openly bullying another. Nobody stepped in. Their health insurance plans are beyond miserable. You could pay $40+/week and have a high deductible plan, or pay $100+/week just to have a co-pay plan. There was no 401k plan.
