Pros
ISAT is a rather unique company where engineering, R&D, and fabrication are co-located in one facility. There are a few different sub-groups within the engineering side, but for my line of work I mainly supported the custom engineering and pipe stress divisions. Our role in supporting contractors in the MEP industry was very fast-paced and dynamic. Although there were similarities from job to job, most every task presented different challenges, and on occasion we got some pretty unique and interesting projects. People were generally easy going and approachable. The general culture is laid back and casual while still maintaining friendly professionalism. I had the good fortune of having a really good, people-person type of boss that made working at ISAT all the more gratifying. Companywide, it seems ISAT is in constant motion, continually refining, re-inventing, introducing new products, developing custom applications and improving overall workflow. They are pretty busy supporting hospitals and tech facilities. It will be interesting to see where they will be at in the coming years.
Cons
I don’t have any real negative comments to note, other than I wished we had windows and that the parking situation was a little easier.
