I've worked as an investigator for 28 years so I kind of know what I'm doing. Unfortunately, the Case Managers are all in their early 20's and some don't have a clue. Their communication skills to the field workers are poor and try & blame others for their mistakes. I went through 3 Managers in 3 years, the first, Jesse, was awesome, the next 2, not so much. Training is lacking, help with their tech is non-existent & pay structure is backwards. Cases are paid on a flat rate, ex. 1 1/2 hour round trip, 45 minute statement, 20 minute to write report=$75.00. If your lucky to be able to do 2 or 3 cases a day, its not bad, however that rarely happens.
