Pros

De-centralized culture is very empowering to each business. ITW pushes best practices to all of their businesses - 80/20, kanban, etc. Diverse company with lots of opportunities. Significant US manufacturing locations. Many businesses are global. Great opportunities for anyone with global management experience tired of the "big corporate"

Cons

Not a lot of corporate support, thus you are responsible for making a lot of decisions on your own (IT, legal, etc)

What a great company to work for really take care of their employess like a small company would. Its just a great place to work and they pay very competitive wages

Work life balance. Spacious corporate campus. Friendly coworkers.

Cons

Low quality mid-level management. Short in investment in data in general. Lots of manual processes, not technology-driven at all.
