      Pros

      - Get to work on a product that helps improve education - People are great to work with along with being very smart - Get to work with cutting edge technology to improve the site

      Cons

      - Sometimes have to work on weekends if stuff is breaking - There isn't very much opportunity for career advancement

      Pros

      This is a very friendly place. When I started, people went out of their way to introduce themselves and to check in on me. People seem to be very knowledgeable about their work focus, but it's also clear that many people have active, interesting lives outside of work. I appreciate that even though it hasn't been discussed much explicitly, work-life balance seems important to people here.

      Cons

      If you live in San Francisco and don't have a car, the San Mateo office location can make for a bit of a long commute. People take the BART and then a shuttle (plus a very short walk). It's not the worst problem to have, but the time can add up if you have to wait very long between modes of transportation.

      Pros

      The office exudes a calm professionalism. People take their work seriously, but no one is running around frantically with an impossibly long things-to-do list. My colleagues are welcoming, friendly, and very talented. People work together without competing against each other. My manager considers my ideas and opinions and provides specific, timely, reasonable, and constructive feedback and directions. It's really a pleasant place to work.

      Cons

      I have only been working at IXL Learning for about a month, and I honestly can't think of any cons so far.
