Pros

Some people are really, truly nice.

Cons

Similar to many others, I worked for a company IXL acquired. The entire process of integrating teams was bizarre. Lesson learned, they just want your product, nothing else about your company that made it special will remain.

Pros

- The people that I work with are some of the best. Everyone is chill, laid back, and make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Company socials are held every month, and they’re almost always a success. - The only busy and hectic time of the year is during back to school season. Otherwise, the office can be pretty quiet for a majority of the year. - Good benefits, especially for health and dental. - Hybrid work schedule, so you don’t have to come in all five days of the week. This will come up again in a negative point.

Cons

- Moreso a neutral point, but sick days are use them or lose them. - The elephant in the room: the hybrid schedule is nice and all, but multiple jobs here are ones that could easily be done from home all five days of the week. The only reason people are forced to come in is because they paid for this office building, and dang it, they’re going to get their money’s worth. - If your team is competent, be prepared to pick up the slack for other ones. One of our teams was a sinking ship and people were voluntold to help out. Be weary of possible changes to your core workflow as well. You might wake up and find out they’re introducing a new system or program over the summer, with little to no testing, and just kinda have to roll with it. - I’ve heard pay is very low compared to what other companies in the e-learning/accounting area can make in similar roles. Where is this not true, by this point?

Pros

Paycheck, Customers, mostly solid product, Teammates

Cons

* bonuses are not territory specific * no career growth opportunities * very little chance for advancement * poor communication between senior leadership and everyone else * you will cover territories for leave, when people quit, etc; but you will not get any additional pay (it's just expected) * senior leadership has clear favorites
