Great to work for number one in the Next Gen space

Cons

Recent layoffs combined with rapid stock decline has affected all aspects of the company. Moral is at bottom and many people are leaving and or contemplating doing so (outside those layed off). The direction of the company is very uncertain.

Illumina is Cutting Edge Bioscience. There is no competition - probably a bad thing for the customer.

Cons

Executive management does poor job of communicating direction and vision. Illumina has lost that start-up feeling and is becoming like every other big company
