Pros

Mostly nice and smart people to work with Good vibes in office

Cons

Leadership seemed to assume the money they got during covid would continue. They have no answers for economic changes. Tech companies are realizing this all over the country, and Imagine Learning is a smaller, less well run version of these large companies we see also laying people off. They overhired and overspent and now are wondering why things are as they are. The decisions make me think they want to do poorly, which is sad because the product and vibe is actually pretty cool. Bad leadership will always ruin a good place. Don't believe pay before job, they're not being truthful to you. The office serves no purpose except to not waste the lease they signed, yet leadership pretends it is so important. Whenever they visit they ignore everyone. People are not treated fairly, and the promise of being so wonderful but really being a poorly run business is a huge let down for employees. Morale is way down and people are jumping ship.

Pros

One huge positive about working at IL was everyone's willingness to provide a helping hand when needed. There is no shortage of people able to answer your questions or help you find the answer that you need.

Cons

The largest con I have for this company was their onboarding and training process. When I first came on board, I was partnered up with someone that had already moved onto a new role. I think the individual helped me the best way they knew how but from a company's perspective, I feel they should have more structured training for new employees. Most of the training came in the form of, "slack me if you have a question".

Pros

flexible schedule I guess, ya.

Cons

They LOVE to lay people off and they do it in a horrible way. Its a less then 5 min zoom meeting where the manager says they are letting you go then the HR person takes over talking a million words a minute, then they hang up. upper management doesn't have a clue what they are doing! The person who is head of my department I have never met. Ive had 2 conversations with them. When I was hired and when I was laid off. That should explain some things.
