Not enough pay for professional teachers

Pros

Nice to meet with students and work with them from the comfort of home.

Cons

Insane amount of grading students' work, inputting data, reporting data, documenting daily communication, and all the "not-fun" parts of teaching, for fairly low pay. No "real" comraderie or feelings of support from "management."

Pros

A lot of the academic designers are really kind and passionate people who are the reason the product is worth anything at all. They put in long hours and a lot of heart because they care.

Cons

This company took a sharp jump off a high cliff when it was acquired by some nuts in Scottsdale. Company culture almost immediately changed. Unrealistic goals and deadlines, disconnected corporate culture, frequent layoffs and cutbacks without warning. Can't say enough bad things about Jonathan Greyer.

Pros

Excellent People, Great Leadership, Strong Culture

Cons

Merger brought about change. Sometimes there are RIF’s that are out of the blue.
