Niche Industry. Privately Held. Caveat Emptor.

Pros

Salaries fall on a range, but can be higher than some companies. Company success-based bonuses available. Holiday celebration and employee gifts are generous.

Cons

Privately held status contributes to management that is often detached from employees, unaccountable and impulsive, and directed by a board that are even further detached. Company is small, industry is niche, and accordingly hyper-responsive to Fed rate decisions and competitor behavior. These responses directly impact employees on a regular basis in multiple ways. Baseline benefits including sick days. Dress code.
