Seriously Toxic at Management Level

Pros

* Other ICs are friendly / responsive * Product space is interesting in theory

Cons

* Senior contributors further up the management chain do weird / toxic stuff like take credit for work they didn't do * Have been literally yelled at by senior management when asking for advice dealing with other managers -- was told what I was describing could get the other manager fired, and I didn't have a right to discuss it. Was further told I wasn't valuable enough to expect better treatment and respect * Counter-productive turf wars between organizations at senior management level

Pros

good salary, freedom to make your on plans and build up your business. products are of high quality

Cons

No structure, poor internal communication, management failures through poor execution and no willingness to invest. no partner program and long product life cycles. no software for data analytics . no cloud strategy.

Strong Engineers, Weak Management

Pros

Some really strong engineering teams across HW, FW, & silicon functions. Good work-life balance.

Cons

Engineering leadership has no intuition for products, roadmap is non-existent and leads to a lot of whiplash and unnecessary firefighting instead of new product development. HR is aggressively callous in supporting the company over employees.
