Pros

. There are monthly raffles, employee shout-outs, and attendance incentives that are helpful. BCBA supervision happens at least once a week which is awesome! The center is clean and tidy with unlimited reinforcers! The RBTs are great and all work hard together as a team. If an RBT needs to use the restroom or take a phone call, there are always others RBTs that immediately volunteer to keep an eye on your kiddo. RBTs are quick to lend a hand if they see you are struggling and they genuinely try to pair and create a rapport with all of the kids in the center besides the client they are assigned. This makes for a warm and welcoming environment for our kids! It also helps our kids to play with other kids within the center. I have also appreciated that HR calls each employee once a month to check in and address any concerns. However, I feel like I cannot be fully honest and remain anonymous which prevents me from voicing my concerns in fear of retaliation or losing my job.

Cons

I have been at InBloom for almost two years and I was hoping things would get better the longer I was an RBT for this company. However, it has only gotten worse and I have seen other RBTs struggle with the same issues and frustrations. Our COD is extremely condescending, dismissive, and honestly disrespectful. She will refuse to address RBTs even if she is in a home supervising or providing support to the BCBA. She once told my BCBA to make sure their RBT was running a very specific trial as I was sitting right there. She didn't even engage me. She didn't look at me. She didn't speak to me. She just told my BCBA what she wanted me to do. She ignores RBTs when they talk and constantly interrupts them. She refuses to make eye contact or listen/respond to RBTs. She will walk right by you and ignore you even if you say, "hello". I have never even had the chance to build a professional relationship with my superior because she is so unapproachable. It is so discouraging to work so very hard on the "frontlines" as an RBT to then be treated so poorly by someone so high up in management. The CIO is similar in her interactions with RBTs. She has quotes throughout her offices about being a great leader. And I think she is an amazing leader to the BCBAs. I have seen her interact with them in a very positive and supportive way but that is not transferred to the RBTs as well. It is a shame because she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and knows ABA and how to reach the more challenging clients. I feel I could learn a lot from her, but again, she is completely different in her interactions with RBTs. I feel as though we should all be working together as team...a united front. Sadly, this is not the case. There is a distinct difference between RBTs and higher management and it is clear and apparent that we are lowly nothings and can be easily replaced. This is the one and only reason I am looking for another job. It is not the pay. It is not the way ABA is implemented. It's not the hours or benefits. It's not the kids or families. It's the management. It is feeling worthless and insignificant because those above us are so belittling and arrogant. It is so sad to me and breaks my heart that a company so focused on inclusion and acceptance can treat their RBTs so poorly.

Pros

Good pay, great BCBAs and therapists

Cons

Everything else: the management, the CEO, and lack of support for RBTs who are actually doing direct therapy and working with clients. The money is not worth the office politics, and at the end of the day, they are more worried about money than the clients, or the RBTs. Look elsewhere, I promise there are other companies in tampa with the same pay and give more support to their direct therapy team. only 1 out of 60 RBTs gets to the RBT 2 position, don't be tempted by it.

Pros

The benefits were pretty good.

Cons

Very cliquey at the center. Micromanaged everything I did. My BCBA left within 2 weeks of me being there and I had no support. Would not recommend
