Pros

The people I worked with during my 18 months with the company were some of the most committed and moral forward-thinkers that I could have hoped for. Of course, some RBTs (and a few BCBAs) had no idea what the job was really asking of them, but those employees were weeded out in a matter of weeks. The staff present when I resigned were people I would trust on any case, no matter how challenging. I learned many things, not just of behavior therapy/analysis, but of the human condition and how to approach situations without judgement. The BCBAs, particularly Enrique and Madeline (as well as Krishna, who is no longer with the company) were great Analysts and even better teachers, even to entry-level RBTs. If you want to learn, the staff currently at InBloom Winter Park will help you grow.

Cons

Upper management and admin does not care about the employee as an individual. I was hired as a full-time employee, which would be a minimum of 30hrs a week, and barely made my hours. Many times I had 10-15 hour weeks due to the instability of clients and the lack of admin duties to make up the hours. When I was originally hired, InBloom offered admin hours to RBTs who lost their direct hours. A few months later, our regional director of operations, Patrick Goelz, emailed to let us know that would no longer be an option. If an RBT wanted admin hours for cancelations, they would need to sign a 30-hour guarantee offer that would cut their pay by a few dollars per hour and ONLY get them to 30 hours in one week with admin duties (40 is out of the question). Unless you are a lead RBT or Student Analyst, do not expect to have a steady work load or a paycheck that you can count on. Most of the RBTs working here have multiple jobs or sources of income.
