Pros

- Nearly every digital health company touts itself as "patient-centered," which just isn't always true. It was abundantly clear to me throughout the interview process that Grand Rounds puts patients first. That has continued to prove true since I joined the company last fall. - Grand Rounds has an incredible culture! People are intelligent without pretense. They're motivated to get things done (things that matter), for the right reasons, and willing to roll with the punches. Everyone's ideas are welcome. We work hard, but quality of life and time off are encouraged and respected. - We are a leader in care navigation, with some giant customers, and a lot of forward momentum. We are constantly innovating and developing new products and services in order to improve the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere. Grand Rounds is poised for continued growth and success, and it's a privilege to be a part of that journey.

Cons

- GR is an adolescent company: things pivot quickly, and you need to be able (and willing) to keep up. That said, leadership does an excellent job of explaining the "why" and providing context around changes, which makes it easy to get behind them! For me, this is actually a pro as I strongly prefer a company that is nimble and responsive to one that is slow-moving and bureaucratic. - It's easy to feel siloed within your team or function - you have to make a point to understand what other parts of the company are working on, and make connections with colleagues on other teams. GR makes a conscious effort to foster this and provide visibility into what is happening across the company with things like monthly company meetings, lunches with random groupings of colleagues each quarter, etc.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We're glad that your experience has been so positive and that you value the uniqueness of our mission-driven, people-centered, innovative culture. Our founders started this company inspired by their personal experiences. As they've grown this company, they have sought out others who are equally committed to putting patients first, questioning the status quo and tackling big challenges in healthcare. It is an exciting journey to be on and we're glad you've chosen to invest your talents here.

Pros

The mission of the organization, "raising the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere", permeates in everything we do. The culture is amazing and I have never felt more appreciated as an employee than I do at Grand Rounds.

Cons

There is lots of change, but that is because we are constantly improving to meet the needs of our member and our customers.

Pros

GR walks the walk when it comes to taking care of its employees. Pre-COVID when we were all in our new, beautiful, spacious office space, we had great food and great coffee, super social events and family oriented programs, and well attended quarterly group lunches to help us to get to know our co-workers across the company. These may seem like little things, but there is a lot of recognition by the leadership that we work very hard, and there is a lot of thought put into making everyone feel appreciated. During these COVID months, the company has continued to provide its employees with so much support as nearly all of our employees have been working from home. We have all received stipends to buy what we need to work from home. We have received mugs and tea from our executive team. Managers check in frequently and even jump in with their employees when our call volume is high. Different teams connect online not only for work, but also for coffee breaks. While other companies have been forced to have layoffs, we have grown, successfully onboarding new employees using online tools during a time when our members have used our health navigation services in record numbers. I feel like we've done a bang up job of staying true to our inclusive and supportive culture through this trying time. No matter where we work, we live our values. We put patients first. We engage in important debate. We GSD. We bring our best selves. We root for the team. We laugh together and support one another. We celebrate PRIDE. We have worthwhile conversations about our collective role in determining how we can pair a commitment to social justice with our mission to raise the quality of health care for everyone everywhere. We have time off for Volunteerism. There are opportunities to mentor and to be mentored. We very solidly celebrate our successes and one another. I can't say enough about how lucky I feel to work for Grand Rounds. This is a fantastic place to work.

Cons

Hold onto your hat! We are growing, and things change quickly. This is not a place to sit still. When things change, we pivot quickly.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We feel very fortunate that we as a company, and as individuals, are able to help those in need, particularly during this pandemic. This is not an easy time to run or grow a business and we are so grateful for how our team members have stepped up to the challenge to stay positive, connected, supportive and focused on continuing to do what we do best - serve members and innovate. Thanks for sharing feedback on what continues to make you feel valued and connected as this unique time. We will absolutely keep up with our communication, our openness to new ideas and our focus on our ultimate mission. Thanks for all you do!
