Thanks for the great feedback, we certainly love our Patients First mindset. We will continue to invest in managerial training, so thanks for the nudge on the same. We're excited for further investment here as well as around the workforce experience in general with our new SVP of Employee Experience on board! I encourage you to provide additional feedback on where we might best focus -- via various channels that we have set up e.g., our townhalls. Also, I'm always happy to grab some time together. Just let me know.

Pros

The company and the people are absolutely amazing. I am continuously impressed by what we do, and by how much each individual employee truly values the company's goals. The company puts employees first, which is so hard to find, but which makes such a huge difference in workplace culture. They also put a lot of time and effort into the company culture with office activities, after work outings and fun contests. Managers have your best interests in mind, they provide the type of feedback that is only meant to help you improve and grow. The entire company is also big on making sure people are recognized for their accomplishments, so you never feel under appreciated. The medical benefits are also outstanding. I'm confident that there isn't a better company for me to be a part of. I love coming to work everyday, and I love hearing about the differences that we make in people's lives.

Cons

The only negative aspect of this position is the pay difference between Records Specialists and Care Coordinators. They are supposed to be equal/lateral positions, however this position currently pays several dollars less an hour. This is my only issue, though it is one that is hugely important.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I too am impressed by the dedication of our colleagues and how everyone strives to live our company values. We heard the frustration amongst our record specialists which prompted a new market survey. We've recently updated the pay scale for this position to reflect current market conditions for similar medical records positions at other companies. The work our medical records team does is the backbone of our ability to serve our patients, not to mention it's a service that is highly valued by our employer customers. It is important to me that we compensate our team fairly for the work performed. If you don't feel like the recent compensation changes adequately address your concern, please reach out to me directly. --Danielle Snow, SVP Patient Care

Has its quirks. Mostly of the best sort.

Pros

Great mission with an especially great team pursuing it. CEO/senior execs truly care about and understand the importance of employee engagement. Team members are encouraged to think big and to speak up (in an industry where this is frequently NOT the norm). Reno patient center has infused refreshing humility and energy into our ethos, and I expect more of the same from our recently opened Lewiston site.

Cons

All of the growing pains you'd expect of a relatively young firm that just passed the 300 employees mark. Some decisions are made hastily, whereas others are belabored indefinitely. Performance management systems are still in their infancy, and even once they're well established, Grand Rounds probably still won't be a sure bet for workers seeking a highly prescribed career path.
