Pros

The company has a huge mission and brings the message into product choices, promotions and hires (may be too much on the hiring front, actually). There is transparency at company meetings and in company-wide emails. CEO admits mistakes. Grand Rounds is on a business tear with a huge new client base last year. The health benefits are good and explained well. I like the consistency in the approach. The people are super smart, smartest I have worked with. The company doesn't change direction every five minutes (this is really nice compare to my last startup).

Cons

There are three separate spaces for teams (two in SF, one in Reno). Would be nice if everybody was together. Management is growing up quickly and not enough of them have significant management experience.

Thanks for the feedback! Good to hear you appreciate the benefits, the focused mission and the people. I'm not sure if you were here for the feedback training in 2015 but we plan on continued investment in this important area in 2016. I welcome any thoughts you have on this, and on how we can continue to shine a light on patient impact in company meetings, etc.

Pros

-Wonderful, incredibly talented group of people with unique personalities. It's a pleasure interacting with my coworkers every day. -Intrinsic motivation: our service is truly helping people, sometimes in huge ways; and we know it can still be so much better, and believe we can make it so. I want to do my job. -Open culture: I feel free to be myself, and mostly free to voice concerns. I feel this way because other people, at all levels, are actively voicing their concerns all the time. I can't overstate how great this is. -Work/life balance is excellent. Managers take time off; employees encourage each other to have a life outside work. -We have fun!

Cons

-We have our fair share of politics, i.e. strategic internal maneuvering; I think this just comes with having a concentration of ambitious people. Our leaders at the top do a good job of diffusing this, though; as does our open culture. -Communication could be better. For example, hiring decisions on my team are poorly communicated.

The environment and culture are top-notch! Everyone is professional, positive, and always looking to find solutions and help each other out. A passionate team with the goal of helping people.

Cons

Things may get hectic sometimes with workload, but my co-workers are always willing to lend a hand if I need it.
