Pros

- The biggest pro is Indeed's tendency to promote from within. From day one, everyone is encouraged to shadow / interact with other teams and learn about other verticals. It's very easy to switch teams or get promoted based on merit. - Compensation/benefits are great! Food, happy hours, team events, etc. - Pretty much everyone is smart and someone to learn from - and I've never met anyone who works here who wasn't willing to help in some way - Constant training and keeping everyone up to speed on new products - Upper management is great about relaying new changes and goals

Cons

- Cross-team communication could definitely be better

What I've learned in a year at Indeed

Pros

This is an extremely fast growing company with aggressive global hiring goals. That means you're going to work hard and be rewarded for it. Regular communication from senior leadership is helpful, with quarterly announcements and Q&A. We really are spoiled (in a good way) in the Austin office, and employees seem to be treated well with perks in other offices. You can't beat our mission, to help people get jobs. There is a plethora of Indeed t-shirts that you collect over time and I wear them often on the weekends. Almost every time I go out, I hear from at least one person who got a job using Indeed, which is a great feeling.

Cons

There's so much growth that it's hard to keep track of the new people, systems and processes. Many different internal systems and programs are confusing. That also means that communication is tougher and there's a lot of it from leadership, HR and facilities. The "Indeed 15" as in pounds, is real. So much good food, that I *should* be using the onsite gym.
