Pros

Hard work is rewarded. I was always challenged and never bored. Good food in the area. A really nice gym. Great coworkers.

Cons

Not much upward mobility. When I say hard work is rewarded, I mean because I worked harder and smarter than the rest. Work was challenging, but stopped being fun. Our dept was drowned in work. It was only a matter of time before the integrity of our work was compromised. I did not want to be around for that. More positions should be created between the Senior analyst and manger level in order to induce better performance. I could tell some on the team began to dog it when all they had to strive for was 3% merit and a boatload of work. This rendered an environment where folks do just enough work to keep their jobs. I was grossly underpaid for the work I did.

Joy and Pain....then insecurity

Pros

Benefit packages and salary are competitive. Close to suburban train station if you commute from outside of Philadelphia. Lots of shops and restaurants to try.

Cons

Low working moral on the technology side of the company. Dissatisfying work and an environment which breeds insecurity among lower level employees, mid and senior level, as well as middle management. While no job is 100% secure, security is a feeling that can be invoked through confidence in management and the direction of the company. Neither one is promising at this point.

Pros

Some of the people there are great to work with, and I was allowed to build my own team.

Cons

Who hired you and who you knew , that would make a difference in your acceptance into the organization.
