Pros

The staff truly put the residents first and are compassionate and patient. Every day they go above and beyond to make each resident feel important. The building is kept exceptionally clean. I have never worked anywhere else that can cook and bake like the culinary team!

Cons

If you are not a team player and don't take pride in what you do, this would not be a good place for you

ALL associates, from Executive level in home office, to the local Village leadership team to the front line associates, share the same vision and passion of compassionate caring for each other and our residents. It is a joy to come to work each day and be a part of the extended families of each resident and each associate.

Cons

I don't have any negative comments. I just wish we had additional sister Villages closer to our community in Northern Michigan.

I have been employed with Independence Village for almost 2 years. This is such an amazing community for work for. I love the employees, our leaders and most importantly the residents. Everyone shares the common vision of providing the best possible care, having great quality food and fun activities for the people who live here. So glad to be apart of this wonderful experience with so many opportunities to come.
