Pros

You have many different opportunities and different educational opportunities are offered.

Cons

The company grew too fast. They are only focused on money, and have completely lost focus of what is really important and why their employees choose to enter healthcare. They undermine the philosphy healthcare is based on. It is no longer about caring for people or having the best interest of their employees or the patients. As a nurse, your license is in jeparody every single shift you work.

Pros

A few co-workers and doctors were great. Not much else!

Cons

Everything else! Overpriced insurance benefits, lame & inexperienced managers who show favoritism then leave after a year, poor overall work culture, overpriced cafeteria food, upper management who are out of touch, lazy workers who use race card, 401k plan with too big to fail bank, high turnover rate, overpaid CEO,no respect for employees,no allowance for celebrating holidays on units,no tuition reimbursement unless you sign contract that you will remain a slave in their lousy employment after school, culture of fear of losing your job-you name it, they rank dead last! Don't listen to tv commercials stating they are the best. These ads are false advertising and should be pulled and not given airtime.

Pros

Nice Health Benefits Opportunity to work in a multi-campus environment. This is for those that like to move around Offers meaningful work. You can actually say you are helping save lives, and mean it The company uses the latest technologies and has very sophisticated ones too Treats employees with respect and dignity Offers top quality medical care to its patients

Cons

Not competitive in it's salaries Poor decision making on the part of Senior Management. Three specific examples below: Changed name from "Indiana University Medical Group" to "Indiana Clinic" and then again to "Indiana University Health Physicians" all within a 24 month period. Communicated to employees that the state of the Hospital was strong in January only to layoff over 1000 workers in October the same year. Lacked foresight to see the changes in reimbursement being heralded in Congress and the media. Embarked on a buying and building spree one year, only to consider shutting down one of its flagship campuses - "Indiana University" Hospital in 2 years.
