Pros

The benefits and the mission.

Cons

I was let go after working at Indigo for a couple of months because they "didn't have the time to train me and now it was too late". I was not given an opportunity for a performance review plan nor was I given any official warnings. Not only that, but the People team handled the situation entirely wrong as well. They were not present when I was let go, not helpful once I got to talk to them after the fact, AND as I left they said "next time, do better". Seriously?!

Pros

I've been at the company for a bit now and any real pros are difficult to come up with. They serve lunch 3 times a week, have snacks. But all the stuff like its treatment of employees and general direction the leadership is taking this company is disappointing

Cons

- Poor Leadership: Company CEO can not lead the company to an IPO. - Direction of company is all over the place. Company and leadership as a whole needs to be more focused and productive: so many issues within the company - most people don't know whats going on. - Compensation: Indigo HR tries to craft their way to justify putting its most productive people at a lower compensation. If you want the best talent to stay pay them. Poor compensation. - HR like to exemplify an open culture but uses it as an excuse and shield themselves from criticism. It's very obvious to Indigo employees that HR is week and a talk a lot of nonsense.

Hi – first of all, I’m sorry to hear that your experience at Indigo has not been positive. This is disappointing for me to hear, but helpful feedback. I personally hate to hear that you think the People team is “talking nonsense” – and I would be happy to meet on this directly with you. It’s correct that I try hard to spend time in front of the company on a regular basis to talk about what we’re hearing from employees through regular pulse surveys and I talk a lot about being open and transparent….this because we want to promote feedback, positive and negative, as it gives us insights we might not otherwise get. On compensation, we benchmark this annually using external market data, and every employee receives equity upon hiring and annually as well as a bonus, based on performance. If you have concerns about low compensation, we on the People team would be happy to discuss. You mention an IPO; our mission as a company is to help farmers feed the planet in a sustainable way. We think by doing that we will also create a big and successful company, but if the most important criteria in being at the company is a future IPO, it is probably not the right fit. Thank you again for your comments and taking the time to write into Glassdoor.

Pros

The pay was great if that’s all you care about in a job

Cons

Office politics is terrible. It exists in at all companies but so toxic here. No clear direction- Goals were always changing I’m super supportive of internal upward promotions but Indigo needs to hire managers externally to come in and bring fresh ideas and change things up. I felt like the people who worked there for 4+ years are great but can be closed minded and lack innovation because Indigo was their only job for so long Worked so many hours and sometimes did all nighters to please the boss and it completely broke me. I am still trying to heal after all these months Was contacted about work via text message during vacation lol
