DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

free lunch/better than average salary for the role.

Cons

Working here gave me a constant stream of anxiety. There was no training and it always felt like no matter how much work I completed or how many hours I worked it was never enough to please those I worked with. Working 12 hours a day, every day, plus weekends is the norm for some departments and you have nothing to show for the time that has been put in. After leaving I have never felt such a relief to know that I never have to go back to an environment in which I'm not appreciated.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. I’m so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience working at Indigo. I appreciate your feedback on training as it is something we’ve focused on a great deal over the last year. You may have started before we implemented some of this, but we now offer in-depth New Hire Training for all new employees, with several additional weeks of training for the sales teams. We’ve also added a robust Manager Training program, and 150+ online training modules. Our Learning & Development team is continuously adding new trainings based on feedback from our employees as well. If any current employee feels he or she is lacking necessary training, I encourage him or her to reach out directly to our L&D team. It seems like you have already left Indigo, so I want to wish you all the best in your next endeavor and thank you for your hard work and time while you were here.

Great aspirations, horrible execution

Pros

Super interesting subject matter and has great (albeit lofty) goals of positively impacting the climate.

Cons

Strategy is all over the place - each year is a very clear favorite new product line, to the detriment of others. In my experience, managers at Indigo are terrible at leading and not doing. They involve themselves at a way more detailed level than they should, and teams are not empowered to make decisions and get things done themselves. Company is often way overstaffed leading to layoffs, and prior to layoffs felt like a bunch of little kids playing soccer, all chasing the ball at the same time.
