Pros

Infineon has a very good compensation package. There is some flexibility about your working hours. Because of its location (ITPL), it takes time to reach here but the shuttle service is very good and comfortable. ITPL also has lot of banks and bill-pay facilities. So it is hassle-free to get anything done.

Cons

PLease be informend that I am commenting only about Bangalore office and more so my particular group. Bangalore office is very dependent on the HQ for direction. In addition, If you were planning to do some creative work, you can forget about it. Quality of the employees is not very high either.

Pros

The best parts about working at infineon are probably the amount of time off emplyees get. However this applies to a lot of companies in germany and austria as well. Tons of paid vacation and a pretty flexible schedule allow for a lot of personal freedoms other companies may not offer.

Cons

Poor managment, too many managers, too few options for career opportunities, poor grading system by HR. HR is probably my biggest complaint, since they seem to do so little for their employees. Even if it's not the case, they are not making it look any different. This leads to a lot of unhappy employees.

Pros

- exciting technologies - Infineon is the technology leader in a couple of market segments which could be the basis for a sustainable profitable company - and will probably evolve as a good company to work for once it's current trouble blow over

Cons

- the organizational setup of the company is an unlimited source of frustration - IFX managament is constantly a victim to it's own lies - Infineon has terrible corporate governance (it's supervisory board is controlled by SIEMENS which obviously does not have a clear idea how to setup a profitable compay - Infineon's way of management tends to ignore reality and is mostly surprised when they ultimately have to face it - the best CEO IFX ever had was recently ousted (W.Ziebart) - working for IFX is like banging your head against the wall 24/7 - Infineon's technical ladder system is completely degraded and absolutely demotivating (in reality it creates 2nd class employees, which can be pushed around by whomever is not part of the technical ladder). There is no system in place which makes sure that grades on the technical ladder are awarded based on merits. It is rather driven by politics and proximity to the headquarter
