Very few points to mention. 1. Friendly peers- Every employee in Product Development Group(PDG) of Bangalore office, are always on best of behaviours, helpful and nice, specially both the managers. But problem is that employees life in the organization is fully controlled and monitored at micro level by management in USA. so even these nice people are not of much help. Note- this “best of behaviours “ comment is only about PDG group, for service and support team refer to other feedbacks. 2. Free Transport facility- free cab service to and from office - for most of the people. If you stay far, then sometimes it may not be available.
Cons
This company is full of surprises, and never a pleasant one . Zero job security. Irrespective of the position, anybody may be fired at any time. The list of people who had surprise exit includes senior most people from top management of the company (both world wide and india ) till fresher, in development , testing, documentation, HR in every line of work. Sometimes the reason for termination may be a funny one too. Bigger problem is that this insecurity you can see in behaviour of some people, who never wants to share any knowledge and is always ready to play the blame game for anything and everything. This is not a positive sign for any team or company. The company also has a system which counts your minutes in the office. If you stay even one minute less than 8 hours, it will automatically triggers half day leave request to your manager, and the his manager ( meaning two levels above your position) . Now it's at the mercy of these two people to reject the leave or consider the same. Note -it just counts your swipe in and out time in office, not if you work from home. Infrastructure wise this may be the only software company where employees need to struggle for better washrooms. You can refer to few feedbacks in this very forum about that topic. There is no clarity among people about the vision of the company. The top management is neither clear nor transparent about the company goals and directions. About work, The company is still working on technologies which are super old today and have no value in market. Even testing is mostly done manually for most of the product. One or two product of the company are on newer technologies, but Bangalore office has no development responsibility for them. This company also does not have 360 degree feedback policy, both officially and unofficially. So even if one employee facing some problem due to someone senior, there is no formal or informal medium to raise his concern. Also HR of the company also writes fake reviews in different platforms about the company to keep the rating and image high.
